What is Wild Things?

Wild Things is a fun, physical program that helps kids develop into strong, healthy, confident children with a love of life and a passion for their world. Central to the program are the concepts of fun, friends and fitness. This means that each and every lesson is devoted to the development of friendships through fun activities that build core motor skills. The most important part being that each and every child is having a blast! The program is designed to assist children in developing important physical skills, as well as environmental, nutritional and safety awareness. Wild Things focuses on developing fine and gross motor skills, to assist children to develop core physical skills, while also building fitness. This introduces children to a love of physical activity and the outdoors, aiming to ensure that children continue this interest into their schooling years.


Why Wild Things?

Wild Things is designed to cater for the necessary developmental stages of children, preparing them for their schooling years, in a fun fitness focused environment. The program consists of numerous fun and challenging activities, incorporating the use of balls, ropes, cones, hoops and balloon games. This full body workout will have the kids crawling, ducking, weaving and jumping all to our fun jungle animal moves. Our fantastic weekly lessons lay the foundation to all sporting activities developing fine and gross motor skills and a range of spatial skills concepts which are key to school readiness.

The Wild Things programs makes a real difference to children’s lives, encouraging friendships and love of fitness, as well as teaching skills and topics such as:

The Program

Jungle Fitness

 Remember Tarzan? He was strong, fit and ready for anything. Wild Things lessons develop jungle fitness through a range of animal walks, crawls and jumps that are fantastic fun and really challenging. Through our games and activities, kids develop:

  • Assertiveness
  • Determination

Kids have a blast when we do the Monkey Walk, the Crocodile Crawl and, the Kangaroo Jump!

Safety Awareness

We teach a holistic range of topics to help kids stay safe and enjoy life. Our topics have been chosen based on a thorough understanding of the most common causes of fatalities and injuries in Australia with children in this age group. Enrolling in Wild Things will teach children vital information that can keep them safe and maybe even save their lives.

Every lesson includes a segment on safety awareness including sun safety, road safety, water safety, fire safety, burns, poisons, animal safety, crowds, bullying and stranger danger. Our Wild Things instructors keep the conversation fun and engaging to help our children be aware of danger, but never worried or anxious.

Nutrition and Anatomy

Kids are never too young to begin learning about good nutrition. Good nutrition makes us strong and healthy, so every lesson includes a simple and fun discussion about eating well and giving our bodies good fuel. Our Wild Things instructors talk about:
